Obstacle 93: Setbacks

“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” ~Michael Jordon

Setbacks smite destiny.  The bounty of a setback is that it forces you to examine your success patterns. If you are committed to your dream, setbacks mean that you learn the lesson and pass the test, readjust and execute your new plan.

“Fall seven times, stand up eight” is a Japanese proverb that describes the mentality of an achiever. Fall or fail, no problem, just get back up one time more than before.

Find your center again. Re-focus on your goal. Create a different strategy. Consult with a mentor. Don’t stall or give up. Earn your success, one setback at a time.

“There are no failures; just experiences and your reactions to them.” – Tom Krause

Willie Jolley, in his book A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback says stand up to your success. Struggle is embedded in gain. Turn obstacles into opportunities.

Get back up again and again and again.
