Obstacle 86: Resentment

“Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for it to kill the enemy.” ~Nelson Mandela

Resentment robs happiness.  It takes your focus away from gratitude for the seen and unseen treasures you already have. It is easy to feel resentment when you don’t have gratitude.  With gratitude, however, even with tests and difficulties, potentialities of beauty are latent in every experience.

Be happy. Lay aside resentment. Life is too short and your passions and discoveries are too powerful to harbor malice.  Frogive and move on. Wayne Dyer says, “Forgiveness is giving up all hope for a better past.” The past is complete with the downing of the sun, tomorrow brings a new day in which joy can be sung.

Live in joy and enjoy life-that’s your mission.

Opportunity Step: Examine your resentments today.
