Obstacle 83: Procrastination

“The way to be nothing is to do nothing.” ~Edgar Watson Howe

Procrastination prunes greatness.  When everything in your life is a frenzied rush because you waited until the last minute to start, you are shortchanging your success. Procrastination exacts a costly price.

I’m late. O my, once again, time is running out. I am late. If this is a common pattern of yours, you are either settling for mediocrity or setting yourself up for failure. Either way, you are self-sabotaging and the outcome is an eventual calamity.

“Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the “someday I’ll” philosophy.” ~Denis Waitley

To procrastinate is indefensible.  Chronically living on the edge due to procrastination implies a selfish, destructive behavioral mentality. The world does not wait on you. Chart your success, that ends procrastination.

Keep a calendar. Schedule your time, better manage your tasks or workload so that you become an on-time achiever.  Stop living on borrowed time, pause the rush button. Remember, you may delay, but time and responsibility will not.

Haste often makes waste.

Plan your success.
