“Rank and riches are chains of gold, but still chains.” ~Giovanni Ruffin
Ostentatiousness odors success. Whether sweet or foul, the smell of ostentatious life is up to you. Your attitude toward riches determine the importance you place on them.
Riches are ephemeral. Easy come, easy go. If you can afford luxuries, by all means get them and also share them. But, people who are secure in their success feel no need to brag or flaunt diamonds or gold. Neither determines the value of life.
If you can still be happy and model service to others without rich accouterments, you can know success. When riches or the pursuit of an ostentatatious distress your self-worth, you might need to do an assessment of what you truly value.
Luxuries do not make the man, but can break the man.
“The ones who seek their happines by buying cars and clothes and rings don’t seem to know that emply lives are just as empty filled with things.” ~Anonymous
