Obstacle 69: Mistakes

“Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.” ~ F. P. Jones

Mistakes magnify learning. Instead of viewing mistakes as punitive, see then as learning opportunities that are actually blessings in disguise. Graciously accept a mistake as feedback.

Winners are unafraid to lose, make mistakes or even fail. They take each scenario as a teachable moment and cull out the remedial lessons and move on. Achievers naturally recover by implementing a new plan or by restructuring what is already in place.

“It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it and try another. But above all, try something.” ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

Mistakes are part of success; they improve one’s problem-solving skills. Those who avoid mistakes, avoid success.  Elbert Hubbard says, “The greatest mistake you can make is to be continuously fearing that you will make one.”

Every mistake has a solution.
