Obstacle 61: Knowledge

“To be proud of learning is the greatest ignorance.” ~Anonymous

Knowledge kicks success up a notch.  Information is power, having resources is power. It’s what you do with knowledge and resources that determine the scope of your success. A derivative of an old adage makes this clear, Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, give him knowledge and he opens a fish market.

Innovation is born from knowledge, a quest or curiosity to figure things out. The knowledgeable innovator asks, why is this not so and then proceeds to devise a new system or discover new galaxies.

On the other hand, being a know-it-all can retard innovative creativity. This type of insular thinking oftentimes closets the ego and shadows true knowledge.  Even if  you are an expert in your field, commit to learn new things.

Develop a persona of wisdom and growth, that’s the lodestone of success. Be a lifelong learner. Be curious, investigate truth.

Learn and grow.
