Obstacle 58: Jealousy

“All jealousy must be strangled in its birth or time will soon make it strong enough to overcome the truth.”  ~Sir William Davenant

Jealousy jinks progress.  You cannot operate successfully or achieve greatness if you are jealous of others. Invariably, you fail because your focus is misdirected.

Jealousy is insular. It is short-sighted to think that what you have is not enough. You already have enough talent, enough resources, and enough strength to achieve whatever you desire. Transcend envy and move into your destined greatness.  Tell yourself a different truth.

Don’t compare yourself to others. Get over it.

You are good enough – let this be your new success mantra.

Create a success system. Write down a new list of goals with timelines and incremental steps you will take to achieve your goals. Do that, suspend jealousy. With the right focus, you can achieve and acquire even more.

Count your blessings.
