Obstacle 57: Irrationality

“Nothing is as liberating as joy. It frees the mind and fills it with tranquility.”   ~Rebbe Nachman of Breslov

Irrationality ignores reality.  Fundamentally the  lack of rational ideals, goals or decisions is primarily a result of mental strains or fear.  There is no rational base.

Irrationality debases competence and fear weakens certainty.  Free yourself; the other side of fear is freedom and functional rationality.  There are n  numerous approaches to building rational thinking such as: breaking a problem into compartments, making a pro/com list, researching the topic, consulting with others.

Put these approaches into practice. You also boost rationality by controlling your inner thoughts.  Maintain a positive, healthy outlook rather than become a pessimist who anticipates doom.  Be realistic and judiciously face each incident without fear.

Remember – life happens.

Be rational in all that you do and think.  You deserve joy and tranquility.
