Obstacle 45: Greed

“Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, riches take wings and only character endures.” ~Horace Greely

Greed gags giving.  A selfish nature, based on greed, is not a character trait of an achiever.  A one-man quest for what you can get rather than what you can share or give breeds myopia.

Greed diverts achievement. An insatiable, greedy appetite for more money or recognition diverts your focus.  And, as with any type of life imbalance, precipitates other obstacles.  One real danger is isolation; people dislike opportunistic personalities.

“The twin killers of success are impatience and greed.” ~Jim Rohn

Greed can become a violation of trust. Greed hurts.

Practice giving more. Great people give.
