Obstacle 21: Contentment

“A man who is contented with what he has done will never become famous for what he will do.” ~Nicholas Boleau

Contentment conserves energy.  After you have done the best that you could, soared high to the summit, and made your mark of achievement you deserve the right to say, “I am content” and really mean it.

But, when you  falsely say that you are content, knowing this is an act of deception that keeps you in a life holding pattern, you then created a myriad of other obstacles.  The truth will torment you. Excuses, blaming, envy, stress, unfinished business becomes the escapism that result from pseudo-contentment.

You cannot fool mother life.

You can experience peaceful contentment by living authentically. Release pretension. Forgo the vanity of faking it; have the courage to be yourself and love yourself.

Carpe diem.

Opportunity Step: Only say yes when you really want to today.
