Obstacle 19: Conceit

“Conceit. God‘s gift to little men.” ~Bruce Barton

Conceit crushes companionship.  No man stands alone; it is conceited to think so. everyone relies on someone at one time or another. Acknowledge those who have contributed to your success.

There are no self-made men. No matter what you achieve, somebody has helped you. A winner is humble enough to say thank you.

Let your focus be outward rather than inward. An inward angle is vain, but an outward outlook reflects you and others.  Conceit fosters a selfish, small mindedness. John Ruskin says, “conceit may puff a man up, but it will never prop him up.”

Mimimal mind, minimal outcome. “Instead of seeing just me, I see a world of opportunity.” ~Unknown

People need people.

Say thank you.

Opportunity Step: Send a thank you note to three people today.
