Obstacle 16: Competitiveness

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” ~Theodore Roosevelt

Competitiveness competes with success. When competitiveness overrides the cannons of respect and decency, it debases one’s greatness.

Be not naive. Success is competitive; there will always be newer, more innovative products, strategies, or ideas and man, by nature, is competitive. But, a true winner is competitive, but not brutal.

Become known for your values, commitment to excellence, integrity and willingness to be of service to others. Play fair. It is not enough to fight, it is the spirit that’s bought to the fight that decides the true victor.

Work for victory with values.
