Obstacle 14: Calamity

“Expect troubles as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye and say: “I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.” ~Ann Landers

Calamity cracks peace. Disorder can build both your confidence and your faith. While in the eye of a storm, calamities may not appear to be blessings in disguise, yet in may regards calamity is providence.

You have choices when confronted with adversity.

Practice the exercise of choice. You may choose to either see calamity as an eye opening chance to make empowering changes in your life or you may choose to surrender to the perceived devastation and give up. The latter viewpoint is the response of a “victim” mindset while the former is that of one who sees “victory.”

Winners always choose victory!

Opportunity Step: Count your choices for an hour today.
