“The greatest obstacle to discovery is not arrogance – it is the illusion of knowledge.” ~Daniel J. Boorstin
Assumptions annihilate truth. Most people have heard the saying, “assumptions make an ass out of you and me.” Think about it. If you dissect the word you will see ass-u-me…most assumptions are baseless.
Our minds quickly make assumptions based on our previous history which makes the generalized assumptions you make easier to justify and accept as truth. But, what if the assumptions you make are wrong? You could miss crucial opportunities.
To counterpoint, assumptions can also be correct. The past has its value, but one should never make quick assumptions based solely on the past. Instead, take time to think what if? Question the validity of what you may not know. Independently investigate, fact find.
Expand your vision, query “your truth.” Probe for possibilities. Discover a new model for your success.
