“Regret about what we did should teach us. Regret about what we did not do should inspire us.” ~Anonymous
Regret retrenches sussess. Regret binds the heart and soul. It creates a backward-looking focus which reta rds success. Success is all about the present and future momenments of achievement. No one lives perfectly. Successful people don’t wallow in regret.
Give up the past, live in the now. Musings such as “I wish,” “If only,” “Back when” only breed dispair. It takes hope, not regret, to see the future or end goal you have designed for yourself. Forgo the zugamic effect of regret, remembering only the things left unfinished. Instead, appreciate what you have done and pledge to do even more.
Backing up to the stop sign of regret is futile. You can’t turn back the hands of time. Hindsight can provide valuable lessons but the greatness in you resides in the future. Make a “you” turn and move to your true passion and place of destiny.
Outlive your regrets.
